Part 1 of 5 Facebook Goldmine For Carpet Cleaners
How To Get The New Google Review Box
Google has made yet another impactful change to the Google+ world. Unfortunately, yet again it isn’t anything that seems helpful or conducive to making things better and easier to navigate. Google+’s redesign really affects local businesses because they decided to remove the display of reviews, addresses, phone numbers, and even the hours of operation. Why they did this is beyond me? I don’t think it’s helpful nor is the new design any more aesthetic.
The Google Community Manager Elizabeth Powers said, “Reviews will no longer be shown on Google+ Pages in the new Google+ design.” Reviews still can be seen when you do a Google Search or look in the Maps section.
When searching on your Smart Phone Google has made it easier to navigate and leave reviews. If you look below you can see how it is easier to Click on the Stars and to write a review.
You do get at least the Hours of Operation and Phone Number as well but nothing else.

We’ve been having conflicting results when you do Sign In? Some people can go to the Google Page and some go absolutely no where? We’re assuming Google is still in the process of updating and changing things. Obviously, the main priority and objective is to ensure that potential Clients can read Reviews and Go to your Website.
We have been experimenting and changing the Google Review Button on Websites so that Visitors will go to a Page Like the one you see below. It basically takes you to where you can Read and Write a Review. We strive to make it easiest as possible for your Clients to Write A Review – the more time they spend trying to figure it out the more likely it is they will just give up and not leave a Review at all.

We have a feeling that Google isn’t finished with this redesign. We’re not too sure on where they will end up going with the Google Business Pages either. They have for sure made certain things more difficult when using a desk top, however when you’re on your phone things seem a little easier to navigate. So, I’m assuming the mobile world is the direction they are going in the future – concentrating on mobile devices seems to be a priority with Google, just think of Mobilegeddon. Google not only wants businesses to have responsive mobile sites but they seem to be changing Google Business Pages to a more user friendly design as well and that makes me wonder if we will see further changes to even their search platform? I guess it will be an interesting year with Google, it’s just unfortunate that we don’t get much of a notice when these changes happen.

Message From Amanda:
How to know if you’re the PERFECT fit for Local Marketing Blueprint
As soon as I opened the doors to Local Marketing Blueprint, I had so many people call and message (and even stop me in the street – true story) to get clarity around my “big promise.”
Create a 5-figure Local Marketing System
(In As Little As 60 Days)
And no… that’s not a typo.
Or some clever marketing claim.
AND it’s definitely not some arbitrary number or random string of works I threw together using my marketing ninja prowess (would love if that was actually a thing) to get you to take action..
OK…so what is it then?
It is the SINGLE biggest outcome I can promise you can achieve with this course.
And while it’s totally possible that you’ll take this program and hit it out the park with even bigger results (think six-figures) in a few short months, I am firm believer in realistic probability – not what might or maybe happen.
If you’ve ever been a student (or customer) of mine, then you know I take my promises VERY seriously.
And remember, these results are proven. There’s proof in the pudding. I am confident in my promise to you because of the RESULTS I’ve seen my students enjoy:
“After applying Amanda’s step-by-step system, I had HUGE results. And quickly – think within only a few weeks. We saw our email list grow by 1,500 people, our social channels go from 0 to over 2k, and sold close to $10,000 in our first time ever selling out. And the best part? So many of our customers told us that it was the BEST experience they’d had in the three years they had been with us.”
– Ron B.
But here’s the catch on that big promise…
I can’t do it alone.
I need to work with a very special kind of small business owner…someone like Ron who is EXCITED to throw themselves into a clear, step-by-step process, someone who implements, and trusts that they’ll see the results.
Notice the last line: trust. Trust is essential.
Why? Because without it – you’ll stand frozen and won’t implement. You’ll chase shiny object after shiny object only to lose money and not see any real results.
And we all know, trust works both ways.

I believe so strongly in my promise and will stand by it (60-day guarantee, anyone?!), I only want to see you join me in Local Marketing Blueprint if you plan on meeting me halfway and do the work.
Which is why I’m being hyper specific about who I let into my program.
And this isn’t so broad stroke “this is right for you” you’ve seen time and time again.
This is CLEAR and super-specific criteria that if you find saying, “YES! That’s totally me!” to, means you are in the perfect position to implement Local Marketing Blueprint and see my big promise come to life.
So read carefully. And if you find yourself nodding along, then you, Joe, are ready to step into Local Marketing Blueprint.
1. You are a (smart) DOER.
You’ve heard me say this again and again, but the only type of small business owners that this will work for are those that show up and execute.
Does that mean you chase down every opportunity you see? Oh hell no.
You implement things that you know work.
Or are implementing something because you know you have to do something, but know there is a better way (there has to be right?!).
Sitting and dreaming of a better way has NO place when you livelihood and future business hang in the balance.
So you show up each day, and you do. You hustle. You sell. You push.
And you’re ready (and have been looking) for a solution that doesn’t feel like just a drop in the bucket, but instead is the COMPLETE step-by-step system that you know will get you from here to there.
2. You want guarantees…
That it will work.
Because you need every second implementing the program to pay off and deliver on its promise.
You’re tired of chasing all of the tricks and tactics and are inspired by the idea of surrendering your efforts to a proven system that you KNOW will grow you business – and make it that MUCH easier.
3. You have a business that you’re PROUD of.
Not some loose concept or idea. Or something that has been “in process” for the last number of years.
Sure… you might have ideas of how you want to change or grow your business, but for the most part, you ALREADY have an amazing business and are wanting to get it into the hands of more people, for bigger impact and bigger profits.
4. You already put at least 20 hours/week into your business.
You are committed. You are ready. You are in the arena. But you wish that all that effort, time, and energy you put in was more orchestrated and really guided to a single, predictable outcome.
You’re tired of trying standalone marketing techniques. Not only is it totally and completing exhausting, it doesn’t deliver results.
You have this very real sense that by syncing up all your activities, that you’d free up a tremendous amount of time, but also feel BETTER about the work you’re going, knowing how each piece serves the ENTIRE system.
So, tell me: did you find yourself nodding along? Silently (or not so silently saying) “OMG THAT’S ME!”. Did a massive lightbulb go off?
Well then…you first 5-figure local marketing system is SO much closer than you think.
As well as the scalable, leveragable freedom and results you’ve been so desperately wanting.
And to help get you there, I’m excited to welcome you to Local Marketing Blueprint.
Together, we’ll walk through, step-by-step, ALL of the actions needed to get you there – leaving nothing to chance and making success all but inevitable.
Want to hitch your wagon to that? Well then, join me here.
To your success,
P.S: Don’t forget that all of the bonuses are available until Wednesday, March 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST. and then they expire. If you’re wanting to ensure you get all of those exciting perks and be one of the first 100 students (remember we’re limiting the number of seats!) – grab your seat today.

How To Remove Fake Google My Business Pages
Just a quick little video I made to step you through removing the fake auto-generated pages that Google will sometimes create that can effect Maps rankings.
Facebook Ads For 2016 Tips, Tricks, And A Overall How-To

Okay, so you should be on your Business Facebook Page. Now, begin with Creating A Post. To Have an Ad it is very important to do a few things. 1. Give Them Something: As you see above I’m giving them a FREE Engagement Photo Session when they Book their Wedding. It’s important to always offer a Discount or something extra to catch people’s attention and this will generally get them to Click on the Post or go to your Facebook Page and hopefully they will do both. 2. Be Sure to Have Contact Info & Your Website: This is a simple thing but people tend to forget to add this. You want to have your Business Info and have the Link to your Website so you can give them the opportunity to actually visit your Website to find additional information. It’s more likely that they’ll call you if you can get them to your Website. 3. Add A Photo With Value: Always Add a Photograph that will catch their attention. Putting a quote on it can do that or a Discount Offer. You just have to pass Facebook’s 20% Text Rule. You Can View All Ad Rules here: https://www.facebook.com/policies/ads/
Your Goal with these Ads is you want more People to Click On Like, Comment, or Share because this will make your Cost Cheaper per Click.

Now, you’re going to Click On Boost Post on the Post you are wanting to run as an Ad. This is on the Bottom Right of every Post you make. Once you Click on that the Above will Pop Up. Now, you’re going to Create your Audience. 1. Click on “People you Choose through Targeting” 2. Click On “Create New Audience”

I’m going to go over each one of these things and ad additional tips.
- Name – Create A Useful Name that will help so you can use this Ad Campaign in the future.
- Location – Click On State/Cities – One Useful way is to Select the Major City you provide your Services to. You can then add to run the Ad up to a 50 Mile radius so you can target close by cities as well.
- Age – You basically want to select the Clients that will be most beneficial to your business. So, if the majority of your clients that spend a decent amount of money with you are in the age range from 40-50 that would be who you want to target? Lets say you’re doing an Ad on College Renters Move Out Cleaning Special then you’d want that Age target to be 19-27. You basically want to select the Age Range that would be most responsive to the Ad you are creating.
- Interest – This is where you want to target the people that are most likely interested in your services. For example, “home owners”, “families”, “kids”, “pet owners”…the more categories you pick the more of an Audience you will have. This is also something to play around with to help improve the success of your Ad.

So, once you Save your Audience Settings then you’ll get to the Page on How Much You Want to Spend. I always recommend beginning at $5 a day and in the beginning just try it for a few days. You basically need to find what Ad and Price works in your market/location – some people have said $10 a day works great in their area – it just depends. Different Ads work differently in different markets and locations – that goes for any Advertising what so ever. On the top Right you will see that you can View your Ad on Desktop and Mobile as well. It’s always good to preview that.
Below is a Picture of how much you can spend and how it will increase your Audience. My recommendation is not to go and spend a ton of money on an Ad that doesn’t work! That’s why I recommend starting at $5 and finding the Ad and Offer that pays off the most then you can always add onto your Budget if it’s a success.

My Advice & Tips For A Successful Ad:

Once your Ad is improved you will receive a Notification. And after your Ad runs for the length you selected you will have an Option to “Add Budget” – if your post gets a lot of Likes, Shares, and Comments and you are not spending much on your Cost Per Click I recommend adding a $1 Budget. The $1 Budget will increase who sees your Ad anywhere from 500-1,000 people and when I’ve done this for my Ads it’s been very successful and I’ve got more bang for my buck. You can also Add more than a $1 if you’d like as well.

For instance look at the Above Ad – I spend $6 for 1,443 people to see my Ad. I paid only 7 Cents for each person to Click on it. That is great! You want that and if you’re not getting it go back to the drawing board. Change the photo, change the offer, change it! You have to find what works best to get the value out of Facebook and to make that important thing we call MONEY.
My other Advice is to get onto forums and groups like Mason’s Network on Facebook and ask people what works for them. What deals are they giving and what’s working? Don’t be afraid to network with other cleaners and find things out because that’s how we grow as companies and that’s how we become better at what we’re trying to accomplish.
Making SEO Work For Your Business in 2016: Part Two
The New Google Look – Step By Step Guide To Getting A Google Review
So, Below is an Example of a Client Clicking on your Google Review Button on your Website:

Next, is what a Client will see once they’ve Clicked on the Leave a Google Review Button:

This is changed and unfortunately Google seems to make things more difficult rather than more user friendly.
Next, you Must Log Into your Google/G-Mail Account to be able to Leave A Review and View Additional Business Information-Notice the Sign In Button in the Top Right:

Now this looks more familiar. Click On The Write A Review:

And now Clients can Leave A Review…I know some people are upset about this being a longer process but there’s nothing we can do about it.
Making SEO Work For Your Business in 2016: Part One
So, when you began your business you more than likely set aside funds for Marketing. Marketing is promoting and selling your services. Marketing may entail newspaper ads, radio ads, public relations, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), E-Mail Marketing, Direct Mail and more. What a lot of people seem to think is Marketing in the Cleaning and Restoration Business is Search Engine Optimization. “I need to be in the Top 3 Of Google and if that happens I won’t have to do anything else,” well that’s WRONG. SEO is only a small part of the pie that needs to contribute to the whole.
Marketing 101
“I can do Sales, What I can’t do is marketing?”
Think about that statement for a minute. Marketing is basically selling yourself. You’re attempting to sell that you’re an honest trustworthy individual that can do the job correctly. So, how do I as a business owner convey that message to potential customers?
There are several ways to tell customers that you’re the right business for the job:
- Your Website
- The way you present yourself on the phone.
- The Reviews you have on Google and Yelp.
- Branding
A lot of people tend to forget about Branding. There is research that has been done that consumers need to see your business anywhere between 3 to 8 times before they use you. Maximizing the value of how a consumer sees you will increase the chances of them using you sooner.
Branding is why it’s so important for companies to use multiple facets to promote their business. Think of it this way, I get a Post Card with a coupon on it in the mail and I kind of forget about it, then I see an ad in the newspaper from the company again and it kind of catches my attention, then I actually decide to get my carpets cleaned so I Google Carpet Cleaners in my area and I see that company again I’m more than likely going to put everything together and call them because I recognize the business name.
Always remember that spending money on advertising doesn’t mean you’re always going to have a return on it immediately. SEO especially, SEO is a long-term commitment and can help tremendously once all the pieces fall into place.
SEO & Strategy
- Getting People To Go To Your Website
It’s very important to have Traffic going to your site and that’s something a business should be working on. When you do E-Mail Marketing, Direct Mail, Facebook Posts & Ads, and anything else that has you business name it you should always include your Domain.
- Getting Reviews
More and more Clients of ours tell us people use them because they have great reviews. Okay, so you’re in the Google 3 Pack but you have No Reviews or One Bad One – Do you think that Helps or Harms your Business? Reviews are becoming more and more important to generate calls and I believe in 2016 after all of Google’s New Updates Reviews are going to mean a lot more to people’s Rankings then they ever have before.
- Powerful Link Building
This is our part. We’ve been buying more powerful domains that have been pricey but we believe they will create a bigger impact then ever before. We’re preparing for the Penguin Update that’s going to be a Real Time Updating looking at sites Back Links immediately. This update could have a major impact on Link Building, as we know it. It will be a fun year on learning how to manipulate this in our favor.
Google Updates Fears & Excitement
So, it’s only January 20th and we’ve already seen two Google Updates. They were updates on the Core Algorithm and we did see some sites get a little bouncy and now everything seems to be dropping back into place. Some clients Rankings seem to have improved and we’re still awaiting more info on these Updates but Google hasn’t been coming out with much information about them. Google did say, however, that there is going to be a lot more of these mysterious updates. That’s one thing people tend to forget is that’s what we’re here for. We like figuring out these updates and we work to fix the penalty or problem if there is one. These updates are more for people using Black Hat SEO tactics and that’s why we really focus on doing things manually and at a “human” pace because that’s what Google likes to see.
We’re still awaiting the Penguin Update, which will look at Back Links being built and these Links will be seen almost immediately. And we will see the impact these Links have on your site whether it’s good or bad immediately as well. I personally am looking forward to this update. I get frustrated that I build a Link and have to wait a few weeks or more to see the impact. The thing with Google, however, is this is all they’ve really told us about this update. And I know the “thing” with Google is there’s probably something more to this update that will have a big impact as well and we may not know it until the update occurs. This update is supposed to happen sometime soon and it is very unlikely anything will be announced. Our hopes is that this update will only help our Clients, however, our fears with any update is someone will get a penalty from one of these updates and our work will be trying to recover from that. Because this update is in “Real-Time” that means you should be able to recover from penalties faster and some say that people that still haven’t recovered from the last Penguin Update should see a dramatic difference with this upcoming update.
2016 should be a interesting year and we’re looking forward to it!
Mystery Update: January 2016
Earlier this week Google confirmed there was a core ranking algorithm update…I know that sounded Chinese huh? I will explain what it all means don’t worry. So, the Google Panda, which is Google’s spam fighting machine, is now a huge part of the core ranking algorithm. That being said one of the major things that will contribute to rankings will be the overall quality of the site. The Google Panda does not run in real time and SEO gurus believe that this Panda update may have happened months ago and the core ranking update was this past weekend.
There have not been any new penalties, which is a blessing, because a lot of times with these types of updates comes some penalty we have to recover from. Googles Rep Gary Illyes stated, “The recent ranking fluctuations you noticed have absolutely nothing to do with Panda or other animals.”
John Mueller another Google Rep stated, “it’s something where we try to look at the quality of the website and understand which ones are higher quality, which ones in general are lower quality and take that into account when ranking the site. This is essentially just a way of kind of making those updates a little [bit] faster, a little bit more regular.”
A Google Spokesman said, “Panda is an algorithm that’s applied to sites overall and has become one of our core ranking signals. It measures the quality of a site, which you can read more about in our guidelines. Panda allows Google to take quality into account and adjust ranking accordingly”.
What is Quality? These are just some of the questions they ask themselves as they write algorithms. Please read the Google Webmaster Blog to get more info on what Quality is. I’m just going to point out the one’s that I believe are the most important for the Cleaning and Restoration Business.
- Does the site have duplicate or redundant articles? With little keyword variations?
- Is the content informative, original, and add value to your site and your business?
- Does the content seem sloppy and full of misspellings and errors?
Google’s belief is that if the content is creative and interesting and offers value it will generate more traffic to your site.
Furthermore, this update was very unexpected so basically every day we’re getting a little more info and we all have lots and lots of questions. What kind if sites were impacted? We’ve noticed some SEO Clients of ours sites have been bouncy. Now that Panda is a part of the Core Algorithm how will this impact future updates and how often will they occur? And when will that other animal update occur? We’re still awaiting the Real Time Penguin Update and it’s impact so 2016 should be an interesting year of updates.
